Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000) is the "social responsibility standard", which is to protect the rights of workers within enterprises, and it specifies the responsibilities that enterprises must assume to society and stakeholders。SA8000 is the first International standard for continuous improvement of working conditions developed by Social Accountability International (SAI)。It is based on the International Labour Organization conventions, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and based on the core provisions of the World Labour Organization。Its purpose is to ensure that corporate social responsibility performance and management capabilities meet the requirements of society and stakeholders for corporate social responsibility。The SA8000 standard is applicable to companies of all sizes, in any industry, anywhere in the world。
